I have a feeling this is going to suck

RE: I have a feeling this is going to suck
Just an update. The dealership says they can't find anything wrong with my car, so they aren't going to charge me anything for hooking it up to their computer. I was thinking though, what if it's belt slippage on my blower pulley? I was reading past posts about that subject and the symptoms seem awfully similiar.

I have an Xpipe, off road, what will the dealership say about that? will they still do warranty work?

that really sucks to hear. Did you have ford install the sc? From what ive been "told" a saleen sc or roush sc that installed by ford is still under warr. And yes;i would also call saleen; do you have a saleen dealer near by?

when it comes to dealerships the #1 rule is NEVER EVER say "do what you have to do" or any variation of that. youll end up having everything replaced from the ground up. go back there and tell them that you want them to find out what the problem is and then call you and give a price quote. then you can go from there.

i had a supercharged rsx-s that had belt slippage, and had same symptoms as you describe. sounds definitely like you just need to tighten the belt. here's the procedure.
tighten half a turn on the tensioner, then turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and all the way to the right with all accessories (a/c, radio, etc.) turned on and listen for a squeal (however slight). if you hear one, tighten. if you don't, then that's perfect tension. just repeat until you don't hear a squeal :-D

get the car out of there as quickly as possible. The dealer saw the SC and decided that they can make more money off of you by voiding the warrantee and playing games.
You should never bring a car that is modified like that to a dealer.
