Default hmmm whats next

Its been quite a while since I've done any perf. mods. Stuck between long tube headers, and pullies? Other than that, i was thinking about gear, maybe 4.10s, butI rarely drive freeways[:-]And at times when I do drive on the highways, I dont want to be lacking.

But what do you guys think....next mod.?

I'd do pulleys next, they're cheap and easy. Headers are expensive and very difficult to install. 4.10s cost you a bit more in the long run in gas.

The 4:10's without a doubt for me was one of the best mods. I have done. The launch is so much stronger than thestocked gearing.

Headers will give you teh greatest gains but are a bit of Money.

I would do Headers and CMCV DP's and you will be very happy with the gains you will see/

Well it depends, if you have the money to spend then go for the big ticket items (headers) while you have the money; this way you will have tackled the big things on your list and from there on it's smooth sailing. If you really don't have all your cash together I would go with pulleys & gears. 4.10's are a fine choice and really provide nothing for you to be "lacking" as you say other than a slightly higher rpm which I never have felt was a bad thing. You will also find 5th gear much more useful than stock. Except for the lack of ability to "go fast" I like driving in the city as well as on the hwy with 4.10's

What ever you do, you can always do whats left over down the road. Thats the great thing about modding, there is always something you can do later lol.

Good luck.

+1 to gears and pullies, should be half the price of installing headers only.

you won't have to get a new tune, just use the handheld to correct the speedo.

im no mec or pro at modding cars; but i hear pullies are bad for a car. they mess up the balance or something like that of the motor.

I was in the same boat yesterday. I went with the pullies for now but did make an appt. for 3:73s in about a month with my local mustang shop. I also checked into headers so I can prepare myself for the cost.Pullies 175.00, 3:73 gears installed 700.00, Kooks with o/r x-pipe super high flow cats installed 2000.00 Income tax hear I come.
