Hi guys,
I'm looking to convert my 05 GT to 07 Cobra GT500 ( Body kit, rims, brakes , S/C and so on .. )
Where can I finda good web site with a good prices who can handle all of this ????
I did not find the exactly style I want. I want the new 07 Cobra

The body parts can be sourced from Clevparts.com. Send him an e-mail through the site or call him and he will take care of you. He works out of clevenger ford.

The wheels and brakes are FRPP items at this point so you just have to find a ford racing dealer that will give you good pricing on that stuff.

For the supercharger, I would either call JDM for a saleen or get the whipple from FRPP or a whipple dealer.

Finally you need a body shop for the paint work and a large checkbook.

If you really want a GT500 just like OE. Just buy one rather than dump 14K on mods between the wheels, tires, brakes, sc, body, etc.

any car enthusiast will know it's not a true GT500 the second they get in it, etc. you're going to have to do a lot to it just to make it a clone.

Even if he did spend the money on the mods to the tune of 20 grand then it is still worth it! Go for your dream and convert it to a 07 Cobra! Lets see 27 grand + 20 grand = 47 grand...so it is still cheaper than the GT500 and made the way he want it! No one gives retail on those cars anyway...unless you know someone and since he has the 05GT than that is what he will start with ...you will lose money if you sell it that is gauranteed. I mean you lose 20% on a new car that was just driven off the lot.

If you're going to do an exact clone of the car and makeeverything the same it will be quite expensive and definately not worth it. Why would you want a Cobra clone when you could have the real thing? It's different if you just want the bumper, but the whole deal now that's just a waste of money but JMO.

I agree... it will cost way more money to clone it than it will to just sell your GT and buy a Shelby. Youre looking at 30 just for a GT, then the wheels, suspension, brakes, body kit, custom interior, engine, blower, body work and anything else you might need will run you around the mid 20ks. Would be much easier to just wait for the hype to settle and get one near MSRP and have the real deal.

I would think by 09 when all the other muscle cars are out and the cobra hype will be down; you should be able o get a ok deal on one.

You guys also have to remember that there is something to be said about your car being different than any other one driven off the dealer lot.... food for thought.
