Need help with 90mm MAF install
OK, so I'm finishing up my Saleen SC install. I have a C&L race tube, JDM cold air kit, and a 90mm maf sensor. I went to install the intake system, and aside from a poor fit which I can fandangle to work, the MAF sensor is a 4 wire unit, so it does not plug into the stock wiring. How am I supposed to hood this thing up? I can't just swap the stock hot wire sensor in there, as they mount differently. I'm confused.
Well, I'm assuming the MAF and sensor is a lightning. I bought it off another member here. Thenew sensorhas only 4 pins (but it uses the wide 6 pin connector, just doesnt have the 1 and 6 pins....no IAT, which is fine cause I'm using the one on the SC). My mustang has the newer narrow style 6 pin connector. I would ask JDM, but it's the weekend, they're closed, and I want my car running
I'm assuming that I can hit up the junk yard and grab a late 90's maf plug, cut off my mustang one, and just wire it into my stock maf wiring. I asked JDM to set up the SCT for a 90mm MAF, so it should be good with this maf and sensor correct? All 90mm Ford MAFs are equal?

Well I called JDM on the off chance someone was there, and they were! I got my questions answered. Basically, my assumptions are correct. I need to get the 96-01 connector and splice it in, or buy the adapter harness that is plug and play from JDM. Since I'm antsy to get the car running, I'm going to hit up the junk yard and see if they have any. Also, JDM said that Ford sells a MAF repair kit that has the harness also. Woohoo. After 3 weeks of dealing with broken and bentSaleen parts, waiting for parts, etc...I'm finally gonna get to drive the stang again.....with a SC!!
Thanks for the help hawgman and anyone who thought about helping.
