Default SLP Loudmouth Exhaust

Got my SLP Loudmouth in today from LMPerformance.com. It sounds freaking amazing. Not entirely sure I'm going to be able to convince local authorities to not write me tickets every time I start my car, though. I know SLP says that this system is emissions legal, but what about the sound? I know that Harleys are louder than my car, but I'm still unsure about the legalities of decibel levels and whatnot. Any comments, vets?

if you're worried about your surroundings while driving, just barley touch the gas and shift into highter gears asap. you can keep it quiet if you need to. [sm=itsok.gif]

Noise regulations can be different state to state, or even down to city level, so it's hard for us to tell you if it's legal where you live. Some exhaust manufacturers/OEMs will tell you that their exhausts are not noise legal in CA for example.

I've had my SLPs since August and I LOOOOVE the sound. But, anyway I was wondering the same thing as you so, at a roadblock one night I asked the officer why you always hear about cars being pulled over for noise, but not Harley's? Basically he said that, for the most part, someone has to make a complaint for the car to get pulled over. He also said that, if you want to get picky about it, lawnmowers break the noise ordinance. And when was the last time a lawnmower was issued a ticket for noise???
