Default New Bullit Update

just read a new update on the up and coming Bullit edition Mustang. said sources inside Ford are saying that there's a possibility of a natural aspired 4.6 with 400 HP. well that's awesome, but it sucks that i bought my '07 GT end of summer last year and now they're coming out with something that's 100 HP stronger. your thoughts?

there's always going to be something bigger and badder down the road. problem is, most of the reports about what might happen turn out to be false.

if anything, i can see 350hp.

I was hoping for a N/A 5.4L [X(]

How many of them are they going to make?

Well where did they find 100 more hp? It probably has the 5.0L engine. I wouldn't worry about it, it will be way overpriced.

Sadly your right.

They could go for 4v heads, or up the redline to 7000 RPM's. Perhaps?

its all rumor to me until wesee it. i think its cool to bring out a bigger N/A motor for the stang, if its a bullit/mach/whatever. i could see keeping the 300hp 4.6 for a base V8, the 5.4 SC GT500 as teh top of the line and a smaller inbetween engine to play ball with future cars from GM/Dodge/whoever. i hope ford does, but i also dont think they really will until there is something from GM/Dodge.

Hopefully Ford does a better job with this bullit than they did with the last one. If they keep the weight and price down I may be trading in. While I'm curious as well if and how they will get 400hp out of an N/A 4.6 I hope they find some torque along with that and maybe a 6th gear. Since we already get hit with a gas guzzler tax running 3.31s might as well throw 4.10s or 4.30s in the back too.

I am sick of the special editions that give dealers reasons to demand crazy money.

Make it no harder than checking a different option box and custom ordering a car, make as many as people are willing to buy. Ford has to learn thatall theselimited production models do is pad dealer pockets.

At that point I will be interested. I refuse to kiss ars to buy a car when I can walk into many a german dealer and buy a car without jumping through hoops and paying dealers ransom for even their highest performance models.
