Default Longtube install?

Just bought SLP LMs, and got me thinking, why not get LT Heads and a Catted X-Pipe to go with em. Curious how easy of a install this is, or should I have a shop do it and a custom tune? I know Brent will send me a tune to take into consideration the LTs and X-Pipe, but I imagine a in house local tune specific for my car will yield better results. One more quick question, a lot of LT Headers claim a 20-30 HP gain. Is this gain taking a stock car, installing LTs and then tuning to get the 20-30? Or is it a stock car, LTs, and dyno with no tune? I would imagine if they're tuning over half the hp is coming from the tune alone.

Default RE: Longtube install?

I have American Racing headers on mine and a C&L CAI and 91 custom tune before those 2 mods and the tunei was running 265 rwhp and now after those 2 mods and a 91 tune I'm running 301 rwhp
