Default Parnelli Jones Mustang

Just saw one of these over the weekend. Number 76 of 500. It has a 302 3 valve engine with a shaker hood and a lot other stuff. It's a parnelli jones/Saleen special edition Mustang. The bad thing is they wanted $60,0000 for it.

That price may not be to bad, I checked out the price of a GT 500 Mustang at my local Stealership, cool car with 500 hp, the sticker said $45,046, however there was a second sticker next to it that the dealer applied, it said Limited Availability = $30,000. total selling price $75,046.. I told him, hell for that much I can buy Z 06, his only reply was , yea, or you could buy this car, with that he walked off. He had three of these cars on the lot and I hope no one buys them.

It is a lot more to it than just the engine not to mention# 76 of 500. The suspensionand the interior is upgraded I don't know if it is $30,000 better. In my opinion it looks better than the GT500 it is also signed by parnelli in my opinion it will be a lot more rarer than the GT500.

You would have to becrazy to think of one as a investment for the future. As a car enthusiast itmight hold it's value a bit betterin the event that you might need to get rid of it. You might be able to recoup some of your money.

With 8,000 being produced every year you can tell the dealer to sell whatever they are smokin. If they were soo rare then he would't have three. Now if there were only 500 or so produced a year then the case would be different.

Yes, Only 500 PJ cars will be built. Currently, Saleen has about 100 more to go. If anyone is really interested, I think its Cambell Ford that has afew of them. Check out the Saleen forum for more info and reviews on the PJ.

Talking about numbers in production.... I rather have a 2000 SVT Cobra R, more rare car and was cheaper when new and even now that the PJ.

Still, the pj stang is a very good car, just V E R Y overpriced IMO
