Most dyno's are closer than you think...You see they actually use computers to add up calculations so you don't have to rely on all of your buddy's "seat of the pants" dyno. You know, when you go around your buddies whoreing them in you car and asking after a good pass "does it FEEL faster?"

Again, not to doubt your claim of 10 rwhp, untill I see a dyno sheet of before and after I will not belive it when I see it.

Again it amazes me how people claim, 300+ rwnp with CAI,Tune,UDP. Again I am rated at 330 at the crank and only put down a 250 rwhp on a 5 speed salee, now you can add 10-15 rwhp because I was running 20 inch rims, so that will lose more Hp than 17 or 18 inch. So I was right at 260-265, which is what every other GT claims stock. I suppose most people must use a DYno jet for there numbers. Those numbers are just not true street hp.

If you use a S/C I am almost 100% sure you will need to remove the UDP. Now if you have a turbo set up, you do not need to remove.

Doesnt anyone read Fast Fords & Muscle Mustang magazine? A few months ago, the mag included a dvd. The dvd showed JDM installing common bolt ons and dyno'ing the car afterwards. If I remember right, JDM's dyno picked up 13wrhp with just pullies.

I read about a v-6 07 stang picking up 8 or 9 rear horsepower with pullies.

Bottom line: I think it's worth it. There is no magic pill (short of a blower) that will dramatically increase RWHP. I admit to being a compatitively new mod'er, but my feeling so far is that modding is an incremental process--you do one thing, 5-10 RWHP...another, you might get 25 RWHP...another...and another...so if it's part of a overall plan to get the most out of incremental upgrades (as is my plan), then in my opinion, they're worth it. After all, that 3-5 RWHP might put you over the line just before your opponent.

Whether you believe 5 RWHP or 10, it's still an inexpensive and easy to install mod... don't forget it should slightly increase your gas mileage also. Every little bit helps....

UDP's were good for about .05 better 60ft times and maybe .09 in the 1/8th.I guess that could be close enough to say a 10th sec gain in the 1/8th. For twice the money of UDP's I gained .2 sec in the 1/8th with an aluminum drive shaft. So if you compare $$ to times then the UDP gain isabout the same $$ for $$ spent. Is it worth it? All by themselves you might not think so, but added up into a list of add-ons a 5-10 hp gain by a single bolt-on is impressive. And when the available add-on list starts to get thin you will be doing everything you can think of to pull another 1or 2hp out of the car. And the Hp gain from pullies is relevent to how aggressive your tune is. A hotter tune with other power adders and the UDP's will have a bigger impact than a stock tune. And that trend will be simillar with just about any bolt on.

+1 Irecently got my UDPs and even though I had an aluminum driveshaft installed at the same time, the difference was notable. Not only did the car pull harder, but my gas mileage increased a tenth just on the way home from the garage (10 to 15 miles away). Steeda was running a sale on their UDPs at the time and they were only $199 so if you wait and watch you might get them cheaper than you think.

My mag didn't have a DVD. I got shorted.
I have also heard that the drain on the electrical will eventually run you a new alternator?
