Default Installed Borla Cat-Back--Holy Crap!

WOW...that's all I can say. Just got my Borla Cat-Backs with Stingers welded on today--didn't want to use the clips...wanted it sealed tighter than...well, you know. Un f'n believeable! Amazing sound. There is drone at 1,500 to 2,000 RPM, but I like the drone. I didn't buy it for a quiet family sedan, after all! I'm very psyched...sounds like a true muscle car and very aggressive. Best choice I could have made!!!

Yep the stingers are great....they growl pretty damn good no matter what anyone says about the drone. Welding them in probably adds a little also!

Probably should not have welded them in. The clamps when used properly are more than enough. It will make removal of the exhaust for any reason a real PITA and you may end up having to cut them off.

don't plan to remove it...so nope, it was the right decision. Plus, in TX, can't pass inspection unless exhaust is welded in.

LOL Congratulations! I love mine too! I bet you'll be driving around with the windows down this spring just to listen to them.

Cool.
This is a pretty cood video/sound clip of the Stingers side by side with stock on S197.

Weird the guy changes the camera (and sound recorder of course) when he adds the "Pypes O/R H-Pipe" so you really can't compare that...

Bizarre... the factory mufflers are not welded on anyway.

I live in TX and have never heard anything about that being a requirement.
