sry guys. I have to agree with superdave.

Even though it may be hard to do, I think ricers should stick to drifting, and we should rule everything else

Drifting is only taken seriously by Asians(notmeant to offend)and kids that watch Fast andFurious. It just goes to show you that anything can be made a sport. I bet ifHollywood made a movie about import cars playing Poloin a parking lotyou would have someone one here asking if a Mustang would be a good carto compete with.

Drifting is gay as a sport. But actually drifting is not gay, its fun as hell and a great exercise in car control. And you are thinking of Ken Gushi, the Japanese guy who learned to drift before he had a license and is a great driver. I was happy to see him driving a real car in that series (he's the Mustang team driver). As much as drifting started with Japan a lot of the cars in D1 are Detroit-born. He was the guy in the 350Z hanging with the Corvette at Road Atlanta on that Forza Motorsport Showdown on SpeedTV.

And yeah, as far as the S197 goes, that Jet Power Modulator is quite possibly most useless thing on the planet.

drifting, the "sport," is quite possible the gayest thing ever. you can't honestly watch it for more than 30 seconds without reaching for the nearest bottle of drano to chug.

not to offend any nascar fans, but its really worse than nascar. the least exciting thing i've ever seen.

Comparing drifting to any real racing is a lot like comparing speed skating to figure skating. No one is going to argue that figure skating is easy. It obviously takes lots of practice, dedication and skill, just like drifting. The problem is that you aren't beating anyone. (This is a problem I have in any 'competition' with judges.) You are measuring up to the standards of a judge, not another competitor. In speed skating, and any actual race where teh point is to get in front of the other car and stay there, you are beating another skater/driver and proving that you are more skilled, stronger, tougher, etc.
