clutch.
Hey all. I know this is a hard to answer question as most people go by the sounds of the engine but...
in normal gas-saving and car-saving situations, how high is your rpm when you start letting the clutch out>?

RE: clutch.
i let the clutch out to a certain point, its hard estimate what percentage it is engaged, then give it a little gas. the way i do it, the rpm's dont dip at all, nor is there any clutch slippage where the rpm's hang and then the clutch fully engages. people think im driving an automatic
other times, i'll do this, but more aggressively, when i want to get going a little quicker, or i'm just inching up, ill gas it right as i let the clutch out very quickly but only to about 50%
other times, ill rev it up to 4500, have the stick in second gear, and dump the clutch as i floor it.of course, this is not the way i always leave from a stoplight. just when someone needs to be put in their place

LOL guys, only when i want to spin the tired like a **** and make a big smoke show. i rarely do it.
oh yea, and launching, ill get on the gas and as the needle swings by 3000, ill feather the clutch aggressively until it reaches the what i call the "traction point", then i let out the rest of the clutch and mat the throttle.
