Default Engine types??

Alright, when looking for parts on a lot of sites, I'm noticing that for the 2006 GT (which I have), it has two different engine types.. and I don't know the difference. As far as I was aware the 06 GTs were just 4.6L V8s, but now a lot of the sites are listing some as 4.6l 3V V8s.. and I have no idea what that 3V is.

So can anyone help me out?? Tell me what the diff between 4.6l and 4.6l 3V is? Thanks!

The 05+ GT's all have brand new heads, 3 valves instead of the conventional 2 & 4.

In another words 4.6L V8 is the same as 4.6L 3V V8 and yes it means 3 valves per cylinder multiplied by eight cylinders is our 24 valve engine like said before.
