Powered by Ford badge installed
There was a post a few weeks back about replacing the GT badge with the powered by Ford badge. I liked the idea and went ahead with it! What do you think. I also took a pic of the holes behind those GT badges in case anyone cares.

RE: Powered by Ford badge installed
Okay, here’s how I did the install.
1. Use waxed dental floss to saw the old badge off.
2. Pick off, clean, pick off, clean….so on…all the old adhesive
3. You have play room where to place the new badge and still cover the holes.
To get the badges in the exact same spot on either side I did the following.
4. See pic 1: Measure from door edge to edge of tape. This will be the back edge of the badge.
5. See pic 2: The badge will go in-between these to piece of tape.
6. I tried using a level on the new badge; while perfectly level it looks crooked on the car. So I used the top line in the fender as the line I wanted to follow, and did the following.
See pic 3: Measure down the same distance and mark both pieces of tape. This will be the top of the badge.

Peel and stick, your all set.

RE: Powered by Ford badge installed
Looks good , I saw those badges on a ShelbyGT last week, OLD SCHOOL!!!
Dont know if you or someone else, posted the link to a supplier, but were they
$24.00 each or the set ?, I'm partial to the tri-bar, because thats what I had on my '72
But I just cant seem to put a V6 badge (i know it doesnt say v6) on my GT
BUT, I dont mind putting a Shelby badge on my GT, LOL.............

Got 'em here.

They're $24.95 each. The quality is very good, and it's an officially licenced Ford product.
