04 SVT Cobra vs 06 Mustang GT
I located a 2004 SVT Cobra, black, 12,000 miles, garage kept, in mint condition and selling for $28,900. I am somewhat tempted to trade my 06 Mustang GT for the Cobra. Before I make up my mind, I would like to hear from other members. Thanks.

Its a pure performance move in most peoples opinion.....there was another member that did this and about 9 pages of posts that followed. I wouldnt do it cause i am not that big into performance....mine is more a DD. It is a good deal as long as the it hasnt been run incredibly hard.

I would personally opt for the cobra any day of the week. The only thing the new body style has over the cobra is a running warranty and looks. Otherwise the cobra is superior in nearly every aspect IMO. Terminator FTW!

The interior of the 05+ alone is reason enough to keep it. I test drove an 04 Cobra and it was already. I was much happier with my 06 GT. The drive train is the only plus on the Cobra.

If I didn't have a car andwas presented with either a 06 Mustang GT or a well kept 04 Cobra,I would take the Cobra in a second.If I already owned the GT I wouldn't trade it in for the SVT. Only because I would loose money on the trade in. Money I could have used towards making the car I already have faster.

Cobra=power, power, power, power,power, andmore power
S197=solid chassis, ease of modification, drive all day comfort(turnoff to some), great perfomance value, low cost of ownership.
They both are great cars and I wouldn't hesitate at allto buy a cobra. I do find it flattering that we are consistantly compared to Mach 1s and cobras on a reg basis as opposed to just the last GT.
