Default is this stock?

hey guys. I have a used o5 gt. There is one little ding in the rear bumper that has a "bolt mark" and its obvious it came from a licenceplate. Its barely noticable tho.

Anyways, in the sun you can see that the rear bumper is a slightly ligher black, and it wasnt repainted as far as I know. Again, only in bright sunlight.

Is this normal on a black car?

How can I tell if it was original

I haven't notice a difference of shade on mine. Check to see if any of the bolts have been off. The heads would be marked from a wrench turning them. And send me your VIN, I'll run the oasis report to see if anything comes up.

there are no actual bolts that I know of holding it on, just nylon push-bolts, but even then there is a little play in the rear bumper

Most cars have a slight shade diffrance, due to the bumpers being polyurethane, and the quarter panel's being sheet metal. Two diffrent materials, and curing techniques. And black is one of those colors that shows any flaws,so I wouldn't think it's been wrecked!

Holy crap! My 05 Mineral Gray GT has that same issue... I saw it when I was out on the flightline in the hot sun doing PT... made my stomach drop... I went home and checked Carfax... 5 hits! Ended up just being the selling and trading generating records causing hits and such... but Mine does it too!
