the one factor that is why ill always want a stick shift is because there more fun to drive, period. Even if the auto can or are faster; then is nothing like SLAMMING GEARS!

don't forget the fact that autos have "perfect" shiftings, no misshifts
Unless you're on a road course. Then the manual driver will own the auto driver.

I don't know how you can buy a 300hp car and buy it in an auto...it just seems like a waste...no fun at all...

But I know some of you have problems with your legs and knees. but that's the only exception! [8D]

Exactly what I was going to say. If you are asking this then you are performance oriented. Go manual or spend money on your auto. Throw a TC and a set of gears and you'll be in business.

This does not mean they are slower than the manuals. You put a CAI and tune on the auto and it will be right there with a CAI and tuned manual usually.
not if the manual owner knows how to drive.... you still don't have nearly the launching capability or control that a manual car has. With a higher stall tc then you will own manuals, but a manual will always have you on the launch if you dont have a tc.

Not to upset anyone or anything, but I think if you're not an avid drag racing enthusiast, then it completely defeats the point of owning a GT if you get one with an auto. Manual all the way IMO...
