OK guys, I am thinking of a New GT Convertible and would like to know what I am in store for. Tell me the things you like the most and hate the worst about your car.
BTW I will be doing a Automatic on this one (Too much shifting in the C6).

Hate- jealousy it attracts lol

 

CDC Light bar- looks cool, give it some custom styling - downside Increased Wind Noise
I HATE the really hot seats in the summertime
Roadkill and the NJ turnpike are also awful in a convertible (but you get that with any)

I LOVE the heads it turns, and the jealousy that comes along with it

 

I love my GT vert! Especially after it has been modded up to go fast!
This is just a weekend toy and when I bought it I was considering some other choices.
I could have bought a C6 vert or a Z06 but I reaaly dont like the style of the new Vette's as much as the C5. I had to have a convertible so the Mustang was the only car that worked for me.
I have not had a single rattle, shake or leak in this convertible, and I have owned 4 other Mustang verts. Oh and I have beaten Z06 (C-6) Vettes and those guys do not expect a GT to beat them so that factor is also lots of fun!
I have had no problems with the car and have a dealer installed KB. My Ford dealer is very mod friendly and they just did a Stage III tranny and custom stall speed install.

My only complaint is the wussy French made transmission (5r55S)did not hold up well to forced induction,hence I had to upgrade that.
My car can be driven daily (I don't though) and will be turning low 11 second times and best of all - the top goes down. What else could you ask for?

 

Can't really think of anything bad. The quality of the top is very good and I have no rattles, shakes or leaks. Turns many heads and with the top down the exhaust sounds awesome. You will not be disappointed.

 

only had mine 3 weeks but love it. no complaints. i almost went with the Shelby GT but just had to get the vert. i confirm, it gets lots of looks. good luck with the decison. rants? have none,

 

We've had ours for 9000 miles, works great, love the looks, a little tri-flow on the hinges and latch rollers work wonders, EASY operation!!

The great thing about the convertible is that I give up nothing in creature comforts. With the top up it is quiet, warm,and dry. With the top down there is little buffeting. The car does have a little shake to it going over bumps that the hard top does not have. Oh, and did I say it hauls a$$ ?
