exhaust install...jack points?

Default exhaust install...jack points?

I ordered an axle-back exhaust for my car and it should be here in the next few days. I was wondering where you guys who installed your exhauts yourselves jacked your cars up. I have jackstands to putunder the jack points on the frame but i dont know where to jackup the rear endto be able toput them there...Any tips or directions? Thanks

+1 45 minutes with a socket wrench, no jackstand needed.

you are going to spend more time jacking it up and putting it on stands than it going to cut off the install time.

If you're worried about getting under the car and don't want to hassle with jacking it up why not get a set of ramps. I got mine at Pep Boys for $30 and they worked great when I changed the oil this past weekend. I plan to use them when I get an exhaust.

Place the jackstands under the rear axle, takes about 10 minutes, tops.

raising it might actually make it harder to change the exhaust if you're lying on your back.

I place my jackstands infront of the lower control arm mount on the body. I jack it up under the axle. The recommended jack points are easy to see if you look under the side of the car just infront of the rear wheels and behind the front wheels. You'll see a notch cut out of the side skirt.
