Default Rev's stay up

Hi all,

I have a 07 with C&L and tune. After the tune (200 miles ago), I noticed the rev's would stay up whenever I pulled over or stopped for a light. Is this "normal" behaviour? (guess not) should I go back to the installation guys, can I fix/change this myself? (have the diablo tuner at home)

grtz

I believe the idle RPM's can be set using your tuner though I'm not sure how. I'm sure someone will be able to give you that info.

heres a question not relating to this or a stang, but you guys are pretty bright so ill say it anyway..

my dad has a 97 expedition with 200000 miles. Half of them pulling a racing trailer. He says he wants to keep it until it dies but once its warm, when we stop at a light, the rpm drops to like 500, and it feels like it is misfiring, or vaporlocking. What is this?>?

Hi,

It idles at 850, 900rpm, but when I stop at the lights or so, it stays up to 1100 or 1200 for like 3, 4 seconds before it goes down to 900 rpm.
It's just that it didn't do that without the CAI and tune, that's all.
For the rest, it runs fine, just the only difference

EGR Valve? I had a Buick that needed one and it kept [almost] stalling when coming to a stop...I believe the valve was sticking open or closed, and as a result the engine wasn't getting enough gas or something.

Or I could be totally off... [&:] anyone else?

You will need to go back to the people you got your tune from & ask them to adjust the deaccel for you, it's a percentage factor. I had Brenspeed tweak mine, & it's alot better now. You'll have to explain exactly what you want.
You can adjust the idle speed using the SCT, I have mine @ 750. Not sure with the Diablo, but I'm sure it's adjustable with it too.
