You can't shut the traction control off on a Hertz Shelby GT-H.

No burning rubber on a rental.

Just a bit of useless trivia.
Actually you can. Pop the button out, they put some sort of stop inside there, remove it, replace button, and then you can shut it off.
Just remember to replace before you return it so you dont get into trouble.

You need a new tune from your tuner! It has to be shut off in the tune, it's not an option on the Xcal2.

See if they can email your same tune to you with the TCS shut off. Brenspeed emailed me one.

I've been driving without TCS for months.

I just tried to get my dealer to reset the TCS default to off. I figured that if it can be done with an aftermarket tuner, then Ford must have some hot, whiz-bang computer thing that could do it also, but.......
Ford says "That option is not available at this time".
I'm stock so far and I guess it's a memory exercise to hit the "off " button until I get CAI and a tune.

I think it is more that it's a safety feature and Ford won't disable it. Then can change about anything they want to. I have the SCT Pro Racer Package and can change just about anything too. Like others said, it's not in the handheld but once you shut it off in the tune, it's off. You can't turn it on with the button. The only way to enable it again is to flash a new tune with it enabled. -Joe
