Default I think i may have messed something up....

Well I'm drivng to my friends house just minding my own buisness and a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG flys by me and then slows down to my speed, right now im in third gear, there are 4 high school kids in it (by the way, i honestly cant keep up with mercedes, they have so many differnt modles, i dont know whats faast and whats not...) then the kid kicks it, so i downshift shift to 2nd and dump the clutch and get right on his tail, he has about a car and a half. then he shuts down because a red light is coming up. then i raced from a dig blah blah he killed me, he never lost any traction. i just spun...anyways. my clutch feels REALLY weird right now. did i mess up anything when i downshifted and dumped theclutch? the clutch feels super weird right now, could i have damaged anything? like when i press it and when i shift it feels VERY weird []

thanks...

oh and btw, i looked it up on google, the e55 amg. and it says its a high 11, low 12 second car!!!
is that possible!?!? he must have been toying with me then?

Wierd in what way?
Does it (the pedal travel) feel spongy, any resistance or noise (other than the usual symphony)?
Is it more difficult to get into gear? (all gears, particular gears).
These guys have a self-adjustng clutch - try starting the car in neutral and somewhat slowly engage/disengage a few times then see if it feels any different (someone else may ever better insight on that process).
Either way, may not be a bad idea to have it looked at.

And just piece of friendly advice - be careful road racing and if at all possible never, ever race someone you don't know (who knows how that idiot may drive, condition of car etc.)
Ok, done with the mild lecture.
Hope it all turns out well.

whoopsies.

That's better than if you felt any resistance or unusual noise when working the pedal.
Did you notice any nasty smell at the time?
Also, at idle and in neutral is there any increase in noise (kinda hard one there as these are noisy in the first place)?
Try doing the adjustment routine a few times and see if that improves it, if not then bring it into the shop as soon as you can.
Oh, and check your master cylinder reservior - if it's low top it off and check for leaks (the clutch uses a small amount of brake fluid for hydraulic operation).

Didn't you burn up your clutch doing dounuts? Or am I thinking of another highschooler with a yellow GT.

What is the adjustment technique spuddogg speaks about.

My clutch rattles when I let it out while stopped and don't give it any gas. I hope it holds out a while longer because my other half is going to freak if I spend one more dime on this car.An $85 shift light almost put her over the edge[:@].

hahaha 85 buck shift light... Does it light any different than one for 10 bucks??? LOL JK

Anyways, give the clutch some time to adjust, my bet is that the clutch glazed over alittle from the heat you put through it..

It should wear off, or return to normal

Just drive her like you normally do
