I'm getting the same code. I noticed you have longtubes. I do as well. If you remember (if you did the install), one of the O2 sensors was moved farther back from the engine. Sometimes the computer sees that the sensor is taking longer to heat up and respond compared to normal parameters, thus it trips the code. Its nothing to worry about. Just clear it everytime it comes up. I've noticed that it appears a lot more regularly during cooler weather rather than warm. I.E. it has been really warm for the past 2 weeks down here in Florida and I don't remember the car throwing that code. However, the other night we got a cool front to come through and the temps dropped fairly significantly. I was out driving around and it threw the code within minutes.

I got the P0153 which is the other side O2...same error but the other side, I have just put LT on as well... Did it happen after a few short drives? There are other possible causes for this error, but the LT's are probably the reason why...

These slow response 02 sensor codes are directly related to the longtubes and having the front o2sensors further downstream than in there original location which is much closer to the engine. Whenyou first start your car after its been sitting for a while, let the car completely warm up andlet the rpmsreturn to the normal idle. This ensures the car is up to normal operating temps and can help stop this code from returning. Alot gm guys will just have these slow response/delayed response codes that are related to the front 02's with longtube headers deleted in the tune so it want appear.

See, my car doesn't throw the code right away. I can be driving for sometimes a half an hour before the DTC pops up. Either way, I'm sure if we emailed Brent, he could re-write our tunes to have these specific codes turned off, that way we'd never see them again.

it won't throw it right away, It has to happen after two driving cycles for it to throw the code... When it reads slow during the second cycle, then it will throw the code...

If you have your front O2's turned off it will affect the A/F ratio. I have the same problem, and what I just said is what Dave from Brenspeed told me. Also depending on the maker of your Longtubes, this is why you are getting the CEL. If I remember correctly, Dynatech, JBA and I beleive American Racing longtubes have the bung for the front O2's mounted to far down stream. Talk to Brent or Dave from Brenspeed. Hope this helps.

Thanks everybody, I cleared it and it hasn't come back on yet. I just wanted to make sure it was nothing major.
