For those prices I'd buy a Vette, no question.[sm=gears.gif]

I love my stang and all, but... for $42k, you can have a half decent Vette. For $50k you could have a loaded Vette. And just for giggles, Kerbeck is offering a base model for $39,990.

http://www.kerbeck.com/
you stole what i was going to say there steam fish, lol. imo a stang for 38k(before mark ups) should have a DOHC 4.6 making almost 400hp, upgrade brakes, susp, etc (and an "anti plastic" kit for the int would be nice

and the chev dlr here in jersey on rt73 also running the same deal; base vette $38,9....400hp
You must be near Marlton... my hometown.

haha, well, you guys notice what they are selling those GT500's for in Canada?

I live in Ontario and there are a select few GT500's in dealerships across the country. Some going for $89000!!!
Now, I know you have to factor in exchange rate, but thats ridiculous!

Anything with the "Shelby" badge already comes with the reputation and certain respect level. If I had the cash, I'd for sure have a Shelby in my driveway. Yes, you cna invest that $4000 and have your GT beat the pants off that shelby...but put that $4000 into a shelby...can you still keep up?

Just like Nike, Michelin, IBM, etc, you're paying for a piece of the name too...like i said, its not just any regular Mustang, and people who know anything, will know what Shelby means!

Thats my two cents

Yea; i have a few buddys that live in marlton. I went to holmen ford a few weeks ago cuz on there site they have "SIX" dif gt500 w/ dif vin numbers. I got there; and they said there only getting one in, so im a lil conf on why there 6 dif vin numbers on their web site.

then i went to medford ford (i just want to see one in person) and they said they only get one a year...WTF? I though they were going to make a nice amount of these cars.

Talk about sticker shock, it even has gas guzzler tax, I've been saying it all along, why paythat muchwhen you can build this car for less. Just imagine what you could do if say you bought a base model V6 or GT and put 15 to 20 thousand into it.

I've been looking for a Shelby for a year now. You find me a dealer between St-Johns and Vancouver with one for 89000$ and I'll give you a 5K commission. I found one in Montreal for 125000$. The same dealer had a GT40 for 189000$. Give me a break.... The exchange rate beween Canada and the U.S is around 15%, what a joke.

I'm sure I can beat one with my GT right now but I still want one. Ford is really starting to **** me off putting cars out there they won't sell...
