I had the same thought. I wanted to just use the rims and replace the tires. I was unable to find a tire for a 17x5 inch rim though.

Those spare tires are 50/50 rated. 50 mph for 50 miles. Be sure to put max air pressure in them as well. I dont reccomend it either. Go get yourself some Weld superlites and some minimum of an S rated tire. Should be even lighter than those spares
