I know a few people who have had TCI converters go bad in like 500 miles or less.
The stock OEMconverter case is for crap.
BillyBobJoe-
Right company! Wrong transmission. They dont have the 5R55S Stage III on their website. They have not updated their site in long time. The link you posted is to a 4-speed 4R70W Stage III.
You need to call them for info. The select-shift manual valve-body is very new.
Expensive stuff but there are not many options for this transmission. I love the convereter, it is built to take way more power than I am throwing at it.
It locks up and does not release like the stock converter sometimes does.
Lots of people are complaining that the stock converters unlocks.

ORIGINAL: MexGT

In my opinion it would be badass to have a GT500 engine under the hood, 2X more badass if its moded !
Hell yes! I wouldn't mind a Boss 302 3V either, or a Terminator 4.6 or a Cammer, sheeesh I love these engines!

I went with a 3 speed fully manual auto with transbrake and electronic overdrive. It's rated at 900 hp and it's built for 05+ mustangs

Basically, a brake for the tranny. Accordingto the lovely Wikipedia, it locks the tranny in first and reverse at the same time so that the car can rev up and not move. When releasing the trans brake, the car is in gear and at its power band. Basically its like pressing the brake and accelerator at the same time except this saves the brakes.

Yeah, that is the defination of how it works (locking forward and reverse) but you forgot to mention what the BENEFIT of it is....lol

It loads the car and allows you to leave under load. This is impossible without a transbrake no matter how high you rev the car. The only way to load the car and leave under load is with a transbrake.
