Input please... New Roush 427R
Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I did a quick search and didn't see any other posts I could draw information from.
I live in the Bay Area, Ca. and am looking at buying a new 07 Mustang with Roush 427R package. I've been quoted with a drive off price (all tax, lic, etc, included) of 49k. We used the Deluxe GT model as our base.
Do you think I could do better elsewhere?
I am looking to make this purchase straight up, no finance, in about 2 weeks. Wanted to get some input from good folks here on Ford forums.

#1 i love the 427's, absolutely gorgeous!
#2 i don't know about the price, but if you only
have 2 weeks to find one and haggle over the price, it
doesn't give you much time for negotiating
good luck and i hope you get this awesome car

Thanks very much, I'm pretty stoked to be able to get one. The last mustang I had was a 66 GT Fastback.
I've got more than two weeks actually. It's in two weeks that I'll have the available cash to buy it straight up. [8D]
If this is the wrong area of forum, I apologize in advance.

I would check around. That seems kinda steep to me... A GT delux can be had for around 26K, which means the 427R package is 23k? I would call Roush myself and find out if this is right by them.

The Roush's and the Saleen's are more money than the MSRP on a GT 500, so that 49K mark sounds about right. If I had the choice however, I'd find me a dealer that will sell me a GT 500 for MSRP, for a few reasons.
#1 - 5.4 L v. 4.6 L - not sure the total upside of this but growing up I was always taught Cubic Inches, Cubic Inches, Cubic Inches.
#2 - Supercharger (Gratned the Roush and Saleen have them as well)
#3 - If your into Resale Value, then I believe the Shelby will have a higher Resale or worth in 20 years than the Roush or Saleen. (That's an opinion, if I could tell the future, I'd own all of them already anway )
But whatever you decide Congrats that is just awesome your able to do that both financially and practically. And Good luck with your new car whatever it may end up being

I say Shelby as well. I would love to see Saleen and Roush which I know are exclusive, try to have some price competition, instead of reaming us. For the money you can always put together a MUCH better car.
