1\4 mile times
Well, finally took my car to the track last night, first time racing her. Did way better then I thought it would have. Keep in mind that I raced in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada. My time time I pulled off for the night was 13.468 @ 104.589mph. My mods are listed below as well I have 255\50 17 Nitto 555 with 28psi pressure. My 60 foot for that run was 2.148. Does that seem a little slow for a 60 foot time. I ran a total of 6 times for the night. That was my best 60foot time, hence the best time I ran. Tell me what you guys think.

Congrats on the first time racin her. Didnt do too bad, but with your mods you could do better. Like ezio said, shave your 60ft time and get a better launch and youll be seeing some nice times.

It was launching not to bad, spun a little but once it stopped spinning it would bog down to low rpm's then go. I left it in third through the quater mile, reving at like 6300rpm, should have I shifted to 4th? Also what tire pressure do you recommend with these tires, should I go less then 28psi, and I never did a burn out with them, I went around the water and spun them to the line to clean them off. see how it does next weekend, lol.

Pump the fronts up to 44psi. I'm going to the track tomorrow morning to get some times with my car, stone stock, 100% down to the paper air filter and Motorcraft oil.
Typically for the rears in my cars that I've raced, I start out at 28psi, and work my way down. I usually stagger it, with 22psi on the drivers side, 23psi on the passenger side. You have to remember you're probably spinning tires on the gear changes too.
Keep in mind that when you do a burnout to clean the tires off, you're going to build a pound or two in the tires just from that. One time I set them at 24psi, did a Dick Landy burnout, did my run, came back, and they were at 28psi. Something to keep in mind, check them afterwards.

I will have to keep that in mind, I am spinning pretty bad into 2nd and chirp third. I will have to pump up the front tires next time I go. How should I launch this car, I would pretty much hit the gas on the last yellow and dump the clutch, sure there is a better way to do this.

I found that pumping up the fronts to maximum PSI, resulted in a little over a 1mph gain.
As far as launching, just from playing around on the street, I think these cars respond better to riding the clutch out of the hole from a 3500rpm launch. I don't think a bog is good with these cars, due to their weight, lack of low end torque, and the drive by wire lag. However with your car that's tuned, that probably isn't as much of an issue. I'll try and post some notes tomorrow if I learn anything. Supposed to be ideal conditions. 50's in the morning, sunny, 60 degrees by noon.
