Just had my Pypes O/R H pipe installed today and I have to say, it sounds like CRAP! I am currently running the Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I installed the H b/c i wanted more sound out of the mufflers, but this was definitely not the answer. Sounds like a 1970 Chevy pickup with an exhaust leak IMO. I am looking to get a new set of mufflers. I want the deep, throaty sound of the axle-back 40 series install, but with more output. Any suggestions. Budget is around $350. Thanks in advance. BTW, I am leaving the H on, so it has to sound good with O/R pipe.

Swap on your stock exhaust. I just took off my Mac O/R X, faaaar to loud with SLPs. Stock Exhaust with O/R Pipe should give you the sound of SLPs with stock midpipe.

Try magnaflows...I have them and they are great with an H-pipe! JMO J.....soounds like NASCAR but a little more subdued and when cruising yu can talk to the person next to you!

ya i had the pypes o/r H with the flows american thunders that is... wow raspiness to the max, inconsistent sound, way tooo frickin raspy, bleh, stingers ftw! egh

No problems or sound issues with my flow 40's they sound great. They sound even better with the JLT and tune

I have some Flowmasters on my ride, not sure which ones because they were on there when I bought the car, but I have the stock midpipe and my Flows sound good, but WAY too quiet. I've heard by alot of people that the o/r h-pipe with Flows sound good, guess its just not for you or there is really an exhaust leak.

Alittle OT, but my Flows are the regular muffler color, but the tip is like 4 inches in diameter, anyone know what they are, or did someone just buy some regular Flows and add the tip themselves? Thanks

of the Flowmasters are not painted black they are either super 40s or just plain 40s. if they are black then they are super 44s
