I'd say withlongtube headers, midpipe, exhaust, UDP's, intake and a tune you'd be able to take a stock STI and EVO. I think the STI runs 13.1-13.2 on average and the EVO runs 13.3-13.4, so I'd say you'd have a better shot at an EVO over an STI.

i think are cars can hit 150ish, ive hit 140ish w/ plenty left. Ive never raced an evo/sti before but i know any FI car w/ basic bolt on can be crazy; but i would think the evo awd and short gears would hurt its top end...plus 170 more close to a 400hp car. & dont think there light just cuz they have a 4cyc; they weight just as much as are cars thanks to there 4drs and awd.

They weigh ALMOST as much. Stock, the 2006 evo's are rated at 3,274 lbs. The 2006 Mustang GT is 3,613 lbs. There power is at 6500 RPMs, and torque is at 3500. The mustang's power is at 5750RPMs, and the torque is at 4500

get a turbo or s/c on your v8 and no rice will race you. i gave an sti a head start and i still whooped his *** HAHA. as soon as they see you arent stock, they wont race you. lots of rice in utah....they bog up the track with 17 1/4's so the fast cars people want to see only get 2 or 3 runs.

but it can go up to 3338pds w a sun roof. Non the less; it weights alot less then I though for some rason.
I'm pretty sure the gt weight is around 3450 (http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/sp...&trimid=-1) however i cant find any numbers on ford's site; go figure. Now that im thinking about it th 07's did gain some weight cuz of the gt500; but that much weight?

but it can go up to 3338pds w a sun roof. yea rice gets scared when they hear the unleashed V8 but everyone out there driving an evo or sti seems to think they were in the fast and the furious or somthing, IMO if you don't want rice to mess with you throw some pipes on, but i do only give credit to a few ricers and the sti and evo are two of them, but as for weight wow i had no idea they were that close to us....

Well im not looking on the same website as i did yesterday and im also getting a differnt weight. I think i was looking at the vert. yesterday. It says for the 06 GT coupe 3483 lbs. this is the website also where i got the weight for the evo
