It 3am rite now reminde you so there is no traffic and all straight away. so we slow to 40mph and he hit the horn 3 times and then we both go well i get the pull and i think ive won im now doing 140 or w/e the 2007 mustang gt tops out at and the Evo comes flyin by and he is gone. So my question is what the hell is the top speed on that damn car????

I'd say the top speed stock is like high 140's, low 150's, but there is always ways around the governor and upping that to 160-170+. And with your mods I'm really surprised you've beaten 3 EVO's. Especially since 90% of the EVO's around arent stock and have atleast exhaust and intake, which on a turbo car really wakes them up. Guess you got lucky and ran into stock ones or the drivers really sucked. How bad did you beat each one of these EVO's?

I agree cause you dont have but 5-7 HP over stock if that even.

True, and the fact that the 3v's can run 13.3-13.4, it is very very unlikely that this guy is in that 1%, although anything is possible. And a stock EVO usually runs 13.3-13.4, and like I said there arent too many out there that are stock.

Can stock EVO's and STI's be taken easily by a GT with the basic mods (CAI, tune, LT's, h/x pipe, etc.)?

I'd say withlongtube headers, midpipe, exhaust, UDP's, intake and a tune you'd be able to take a stock STI and EVO. I think the STI runs 13.1-13.2 on average and the EVO runs 13.3-13.4, so I'd say you'd have a better shot at an EVO over an STI.

Did you not see what I said in my 1st post? I believe its high 140's, low 150's, but it dont take much to get rid of the governor and make them hit 160-170. If one of your best friends owns an EVO than why dont you just ask him what they top out at?

I'm not sure if the evo is AWD, but i know it gives the STI quite an advantage on our cars at launch... they also weigh considerably less than these pigs... but got bless that sweet tune that comes out of my exhaust.... not a mosquito farting into a megaphone...
