i had the same question trying to decide between the performance or torque. i emailed doug @ ba ma chips and he said that the performance tune made more overall power so i went with it.

Once you load race you'll never go back.

I have Dougs Performance and Race tune and I like the Race tune better because seems like it pulls harder all the way thru the rpm range
the performance tune seems like it starts to pull around 3500 rpms, but my car is a manual so I'm not sure how a automatic would react.

Doug's performance tune is really good for a daily driven car.

The torque tune..., nodoubt about. Really see no needfor maximumbhp, it is torque that makes driving FUN!

Can also say that the race and performance feels similar.

When I took my car to the track the other night, the 93 Torque Tune produced the best time and mph.

87 Performance: 13.765 @ 103.93 (2.098 60ft)
93 Performance:13.593@ 104.67 (2.077 60ft)
93 Torque:13.539@ 105.18 (2.114 60ft)

for you guys who are using the torque tune, do you have to shift quicker than you would with the performance tune? doesn't it quit making power at a much lower rpm range? also, how much torquier does it really feel than a performance tuen?
