Default Zex ? for you guys

I wanted to know if i can run the 75 shot zex kit with the following mods i have which i have a custom b*** tune for. I have C&L racer intake, Predator, D/S, Shorty header, X-pipe cats, Axle back, Frpp CMPD, Pulleys, and 4:10's. I searched around alittle and i see i need to retard the timing. Is there any way i can just buy and bolt on the kit, and just retard the timing like 4 degrees or something like that. I dont want anything to happen to my car, i just want a little more power. Thanx alot guys

I'm not sure how aggressive the timing is on your tune but I would call them and ask. I have a canned SCT tuner with a simliar set up as you, minus the D/S, CMCV deletes and X pipe. But anyway, I run the 91 tune (CA) advanced +2 with no detonation ever and 91 tune -2 on the bottle with a 75 shot. A tuner told me to run the 93 tune-2 for daily driving and 91 -2 for the bottle. Probably 6 1/2 dozen the other but it works for me.

Bone stock you can run with no timing adjustment but with our tunes you need to take out a little timing.

for 75 shot, u dont need to do anything. for extra safety, I run 87 tune with 93 octane gas and have 1 step colder plugs. Eat 400hp GTO's all day long. heeeeeheeeee

See this is the thing, i didnt buy my predator at one of the tuners(brenspeed or others). My predator has 87,89,93, and the C&L"Racer" tuner. I dont think my car would work if i just upload the 87, i think thats for a stock gt w/out the intake. I'm going to call b*** and see what they say how much i should decrease the timing. Thanx alot for the help guys.

125 NX kit with Predator and same mods as you. JPC racing tune with -4 degrees total timing from what Justin sent me, and HTO autolites. No issues to speak of with the car. Haven't lost yet with the Nitrous. My biggest problem is traction.
I'd call Justin at JPC Racing. His tune was spot on and made great power in N/A form. I just think my car is a friday car. Always a bit short of everyone else's numbers.

the 87 tune is not your stock tune. Is just using 87 parameters. 87 tune Vs. Stock tune is a big diference. In fact, Brenspeed said that the dif. between 87 and 93 tune is marginal. I keep mine on 89 tune using 93. (correcting myself from my previous post.) This way my car is fast without the N2O and safe enough to spray a 75 shot. If you do more than 75 shot, you will have to retard the car which will be slower when not spraying, but faster when spraying. I decided to keep the car fast when not spraying and just add 75 shot only when needed. I think is a good overall combo.

Actually taking timing out of my car only lost me 4 peak hp with a max of 7 hp at somewhere around 5k. But what it did help control was the wheel spin coming out of the hole. The car is easier to control with the 125 shot and -4 degrees vs the 75 shot at +2. So I guess it's really up to you on what you want to do. I did run the 75 shot with the JPC tune straight up on stock plugs for a while. I just wanted more so I put HTO's in it and pulled timing out. Good Luck with your setup though. You're gonna love it!!!!

Does JPC send the tune over the internet like B*** does, if so how much did you pay for it?

My mods so far are CMCV Deletes, FRPP Short Headers, Bassani Axlebacks & O/R X-pipe, C&L Intake, Steeda UDP's, NX 3v kit, 4.30 gears and the predator tuner. There has been some work done to the suspension as well, but I'm still sorting all that out. Nothing has worked rightyet.

Yes JPC will send you a tune with an e-mail. I uploaded mine and installed it without any problems. I went with them because of their track record with the 3v Mustangs. After talking to Justin my mind was made up. He's very helpful and has always taken the time to answer all my questions. Customer service goes a long way in my book and he hasn't let me down. The tune ran me 50 bucks I think.
