Default Mac Vs Pypes

Well,I have eliminated JBA exhaust. So now I'm wondering what would be better between Mac and Pypes Violators. I don't want the exhaust to be too loud, but I want it to be noticeable. I have heard lots of complaints about drone on the Macs, but haven't heard anything at all, good or bad, about the Violators. Any opinions would be helpful

i love my Pypes, but i haven't heard the Macs in person. there is drone, around 1800 to 2100 (in that range, not to sure), i dont personally mind it. at idle its a little louder, but as you get above 2500 rpm it starts to get louder.

I just had the MACs installed a few days ago.
Is it the combinationMAC+Steeda CAI+Saleen s/c that makes it sound like a race engine??? probably.
at idle though I can swear it's the deepest sound you'll ever get out of an axleback.
stomp on it and it'll scream. I love it
I wouldn't recommend it though if you're not looking for something loud.
Funny thing.... every morning I start her up, there's a mazda protege parked about 4 cars away from mine and the alarm goes off every morning.
hehehehehehe. poor guy. his battery will probably be dead by the end of the week.

MACs drone, but with a manual you can just pop it into a higher gear and get out of the drone range. I was not entirely sure what I thought of them initially, but after I got behind the car and had someone rev them, well, lets just say I was completely sold. You kind of develop an ear for them, and I think it is definitely the "muscle car" sound. It's very bubbly and gurgley. They also make all sorts of sweet off-throttle engine braking noises. You better be able to handle drone or be willing to pay for resonators, but I think the sound is worth it!

Here are a few sound clips:

Just MAC's: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BmwkuBP_jhY

(this one is good for the idle sound) http://youtube.com/watch?v=xpLMILvgibQ
MAC's with X-pipe (I really like this one, especially the very end): http://youtube.com/watch?v=lcOc2OXAq3s

Also, brenspeed has a few clips on their website.

Forget the Pypes Violators - go with their new SFM-66 Mid-Muffler setup. Axlebacks, any axleback, are a deadend solution that I'm giving up on.

I had Pypes Violators on and the drone was not bad and the growl at low RPM's was nice and deep. And they sounded really good at WOT. Once I installed my Pypes O/R H it became crazy loud, so I installed Mac's. The Mac's have a lot of drone and are deeper than the Pypes. I have heard Mac's on my friends car without an O/R H pipe and they sound really good. They aren't as loud as the Pypes with my O/R H, which is better for me. But if you are interested in Pypes Violators I am selling mine so just PM me.

I'll try to get a sound clip of just the MACs, although as everyone knows no video does justice to exhausts, especially the louder ones!
