Default Removing the hyrdocarbon trap

Does removing the hyrdocarbon trap in the intake tubing have any negative effect. You wouldnt need a tune would you. I'm just wondering because i took mine out and i'm a little worried about starting it back up....anyone dont this or know about it. any responses are appreciated

good call, but are you sure they're not tuned slightly differently, because i've read that removing it without a tune can result in a loss of power, but i've also read that you can gain up to 6 rwhp...i plant to get a CAI/ Tuner soon but i want a little more power while im saving for that
