I have an 03 V6 and plan to keep it since that body style was only in production for two years. I have the 06 GT and with the mods its great. The V5 is my daily driver.

thanks for the input.I did infact go test drive an 07 today. it was a california one, but i'm pretty sure that is only a visual difference than the regular gt. I do love the style of them and i think it was a little more comfortable. the clutch was crazy different but that was to be expected i guess. overall the performance seemed to lacking compared to my mach but it was not drastic. the 3.27 (what the 07 i test drove had)to the3.55 gears(which my mach has)could be the main reason for that perhaps plus the few extra ponies mine has.

overall i'm pretty much still undiced.

if i did end up going for the 07 racing stripes would be key, but i have read that the factory ones are not that good. Is there any truth to that? would they be any different to the vinyl ones that come on the mach?

also since im typing any recommendations on the different packages? i think there is a premium and a stardard or something like that.

Wait for the Bullitt model next year, you'll have a unique car and the newer body style, then again the '07 Shelby GT is currently available(I think either of these cars will be worth more than a Mach 1). The '01 Bullitt and '03/'04 Mach 1 have similar values....................if you can't afford an '08 Bullitt or Shelby GT, an '07 GT with a shaker hood and the CDC catalog thrown at it makes for a more convincing looking Mach 1 than the '03/'04 version JMHO......

Buy a torch red S197 and Mach 1 it ! (black spoiler, side stripes, hood stripe, mach 1 style rims, front chin spoiler, shaker system, etc) and u wont regret it

I like the Mach 1 simply because you can put Flowmasters on it, and it sounds like it has Flowmasters. The new cars with Flowmasters sound like they have an X-pipe, which I hate.

I say keep the Mach 1. Put a set of 4.30s in it, JLT, Flowmasters, and an H-pipe. I love the 4vs. Just sound so much cooler. I had a 96 Cobra, and wish I had kept it.
