well of course it's going to vary....but try
to visualize the process, how long each step
takes, then multiply $70/hr labor X the number
of hours.
$70/hr X 20 hours = $1400
the job could take 20 -30 man hours

Yeah I would like to go turbo, I know our internals are only good for around 475whp, but I just want to make sure my engine doesn't explode lol. (running above 10psi of boost would be nice too) Anyone know how much horsepower or how much boost our engine can hold WITH forged internals?

well.. then you run into other issues if your going for MAX HP.... but if you leave the drive train and rear stock... 550-600 should be ok from what I've read. upgrade the drive train and rear..... then you could go 750-800(?)

So with the internals installed its only going to be safe running another 75-100 hp? Man, I wish I had enough money to mod the rear end and drivetrain, I guess I'll just get a turbo and run around 475whp then, not worth it to spend around 4k for the internals if I can safely make only 75-100 more hp. Am I right? Thanks for the info though Stkjock.

Stock internals are weak each engine is different as to how much they can tolerate there are some freaks in my area running 550rwhp on the stock engine with KB S/C's that are rolling 10,000 miles. But with me my new short block can take up to 900hp of abuse its just the other **** that will break.............. ...like the drive line. And 12psi on the hellion turbo kit gets you about 550 out back and thats the most i will ever go.

the stock block will hold up to 1000hp. depending on the internals you get, you will limit yourself to your HP just like the stock assembly. my internals will handle 850-1500hp and that is FAR more than i need but i can be safe at 15lbs of boost

Awesome just wanted to make sure teh block was capable of more than just 500+ ... to be honest i would be fine with about 600 just for safe reasons, but wanted to make sure the block could handle with new internals. Thanks
