just wanted to see if many people run FI without forged internals. i was thinking of going FI and was going to keep it around 420, should they hold?

I remember reading something online...an interview with Dario Orlando of Steeda...he said once these 3v's hit about 425hp, watch out for flying parts (I'm paraphrasing)...I assumed he meant rwhp not crank?

i'd say you're probably ok up to 450. i've never heard of one with problems at that level. 450-500 is questionable, above 500 watch out! mine went at 515 with only 200 miles. If you plan on upper 400's build it now, because if it does break, it WILL damage your block and cost a good $1000 extra. Very few rods/pistons break and leave the block intact at 4000+ rpm. Keep in mind power is addictive - 450 may not keep you happy long!

450 on standard internals is what I was told by my shop! 475 and plan on an engine replacement at some point (role of the dice dependent on how hard you run). Beyond 470 its iminent (agian dependent on car are how its driven). Thats RWHP.
