Default Numb/Light Steering Feel

So let's say that someone was driving their 07 GT fast today, and they really noticed that the steering gets uncomfortably numb and light at speed. I mean, I've read about it in the mag.s as one of their complaints but wow, it really is. Anyone know of a mod. to fix it?

WONDERING THE SAME THING.. i was shocked when i was new to the car.. i wish it was more tight, and i almost wish it didnt have power steering!!..

wondered if there was a way to may change someting with the rack/pinion, or fluid or something.. i have no idea.. but something needs to be changed..

i test drove and acura tl s-type for the hell of it a while back.. and the steering was sooo nice. it was stiff but not so stiff you had to struggle.. just stiff so it felt like a race car..

also.. at high speeds, i feel like im going to loose control its so loose..

I completely agree. Don't flame me for this, but my civic had a really nice/tight feel to the steering.

Sure, I wish the car was tighter also. Compared to my wifes Beemer, the Mustang steering is inferior. However, the S197 is much tighter than older stangs. Plus, we got what we paid for.

So I'm not the only one. Mine starts to feel that way as I approach 130mph

Cant say because I never have gone that far but I do understand what you are talking about....but at those speeds the steering wheel should be held straight and the numb/ non responsive feeling is probably good.

Not crazy fast. I know plenty of people on here have gone a lot faster, We'll just say bottom right quarter of the speedo.

I'm being hesitant to say b/c I have actually heard of people getting in trouble for it.
