ezio350,
There is no such thing as "half synthetic". If you are using "dealer oil" or even bottled Motorcraft "Blend" oil, nowhere does it say it is "half synthetic". It is no more than 2% to 5% synthetic.
When people see the word "Blend", for some reason, they think 50/50 and it is not so.
Jerry P,
Motorcraft Full Synthetic is so new, (introduced just this past March or April), very few people are using it.
I myself use (in my MKZ) Motorcraft Blend 5W-20 in BOTTLES. I do not allow dealer to use their Bulk Oil. I don't know what is in there, plus the dealer does not know what is in there. In www.bobistheoilguy.com (click on forums), they say that the Motorcraft Blend is the best NON FULL Synthetic there is.
In my Continental, I use Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (Made in Germany - printed on the back of bottle) Full Synthetic Group-IV oil. Now hard to find in the US (still available in Canada) so when I use up my "stash", I will switch to either Pennsoil Platinum 5W-20 or AmsOil.
