I was thinking about getting some 3.73 gears for my 07 Stang GT. Suggestions on who to buy it from? I know ppl say to stay away from ebay sellers, is this true. Also, if im driving on highway alot, would 3.73 gears be the best, or something around 3.55 or 3.31? any help would be appreciated.

you know i think i might have 3.55 but im not sure. i asked the dealer to send me all the info on my car and im still waiting. can i find the gear ratio in my manual?

if you have a manual you have 3.55
your not going to feel much of a difference with 3.73 unless you plan on going FI
If your not planning on going FI, you should stick with 4.10 or 4.30s

With these gears, unless you unload on the pedal, your going to burn gas correct. but if your crusing, it really doesn't matter im guessing. What's the major difference in performance with the 4.10s 4.30's. where do you rec getting them. sorry im not that good with the linguo, but whats FI?

FI is forced induction i assume....such as superchargers and turbo's....i have a Q. tho if u dont mined me interupting ur post....is it bad to get 4.10's or3.90'swithFI.....would 3.73's be the best for a turbo(thats what im leaning towards right now)

First off are you an auto or a stick....if you are an auto you have 3.31 if you are a stick you have the same unless you paid $100 for the 3.55 upgrade. Check your window sticker to be sure.

Then find a good place to have install done. Check how many s197 they have done the install on or ford 8.8s also. You should expect to pay 300-500 for install.

Jegs or Summit would be the next place to look for the gears. Make sure they are FRPP gears and not motive....it is explained in the thread above.

yes 3.73 is best for FI application.
i have 4.10 and am going to need to buy new gears once again (f*ck)

Go climb under the rear end of your car and look at the pumkin, there will be a white sticker down there and that will be what you got in there. Mine is 3.31. Also unless your sticker reads you paid $100 for 3.55 limited slip you probably have the 3.31. For an 07 anyway
