I see al these exhaust systems out there. I have no idea what to go with. I might go with Borla, or bassani. But do I go with catback or axleback. Any ideas?

most if not all s197 v8 apps are axle-back...let's break this question down into three sections, sound, $$and gain. Gain is easy, there is none so don't let that affect your decision. Money, well you know what you have and/or are willing to spend. It really comes down to sound...I like my flo's, SLP LMs are the loudest you can get w/o getting into the midpipe and putting on headers. My flo's were $300 at advance auto parts, cheap enough although I've read a lot of stuff about them falling apart inside rather quickly...we'll see what happens, only had them about a month...that's my two cents, read on...we're all running different a/b's around here so you should get a lot of info on this one...p.s. welcome!

Thanks alot funny thing is I have flowmasters on my car they sound good but I don't know what type they are. Should I change the pipes under teh car run something else besides the stock?

the only flo a/b kit available for the s197 4.6 is the american thunder, unless someone bought individual mufflers and clamped/welded the old pipes and tips on (unlikely)...I've got my stock catted pipe but the folks around the forum running an o/r pipe with their flo's rave about it. SLP LMs + o/r might attract a bit too much attention...
