That's a fast trap speed in the 1/8 for just having a CAI and no tune. What CAI? What was the weather like where you ran that time? My fast 1/8 trap was 81 at like 8.89 or something close, but it was in the 80's when I ran and I also suck at shifting gears.

how fast would a stock gt auto run
I have an auto and all I have is a CAI. I do not have a tune and I have stock Perellis. I'm happy with what she ran but I am not satisfied. I am getting a tune, 3.73 gears and a 1pc. Spyder driveshaft this week.

I'm car #213 on this time slip. I got beat by my friends V6 but he is supercharged and I was pleased with a 13.4 anyway.

It was in the mid to high 70s and calm wind that day. Its a Granatelli CAI.

i was bout to trade in my 06 4.0 autofor a 07 manual gt, but i was just wondering what kind of 1/4 mile times id be lookin at i plan on keeping it stock and i got thefactory 3:55 gearing option. so i was wondering what would you guys estimate the 1/4 mile to be?

You have to take into account alot of people on herefib with their1/4 times, if you look in the timeslips section alot of people do not have an actual timeslip scan, much like the dyno #s there is some BS goin on, a totally stock 05-08 GT will not get into the 12s period, nor will it get into the 12s with a simple CAI and tune !!even really low 13s.The car and driver test 13.5 1/4 mile was with a professional driver on a perfect track with perfect conditions, with all my mods I am running low 13s and trust me a RT of .080does not leave alot of room for driver error!! lolI am just saying don't judge your times or HP numbers by what people say on here, get your baseline #s and go from there. BTW a stock manual is faster than a stock AUTO so you have a head start I didn't get !!! lol

13.5?? on stock...yea right...he'll be looking more like 13.7-13.8...if hes good
my last quarter-mile discussion over in street/strip almost got me tossed off MF so I'm gonna sit the rest of this one out as far as that goes...still say you WILL mod, we all do it...I myself remember driving the car home and saying "it's perfect...and I'm gonna keep it all FORD!" yeah, right...
I said that I was going to put all FRPP parts on it but that went real well. I have 0 FRPP parts on my car. lol

There is a member on these forums that ran in the 12's with a CAI/tune. He posted his timeslip and everything...kind of hard to fib that if you ask me.

The track he goes to must have clock issues, seen it plenty of times before, hell one time I got a slip that told me I went 11.9 lol It is impossible to get in the 12s with these cars with just a CAI and tune, period.

not fast at all... I had some mods done a while back, JBA shorties, Magnaflow catback, 3.73 gears, intake and canned tune (and lowered with steeda springs). The car ran a 14.1 at I believe 102 or 103? This run was on street tires, but still, I wasnt gonna hit any faster times than that.

A stock GT, probably somewhere in the low 14's. I havent heard of a stock auto GT getting into 13's without mods. But, someone prove me wrong...?

His name is GeneK I believe and he was consistently running 13.4-13.5 stock and ran 12.9xx's with his CAI/tune and stock tires. Dont believe it? Fine, doesnt affect me....

I'm at 5000'. Stock I ran a 15.1. After CAI/tune I ran a 14.6. That's typical for this altitude.
I seen other Mustangs run from 14.9-15.5. With my CAI/tune, I beat a manual pretty easily.
Had him by 3 cars up to about80 mph. 2nd and 3rd shift so damn hard. At sea level I bet I'm
13.6 easy.
