My friend recently rolled his lightning and it is being totalled out. I was wondering if there is any way to make that supercharger work/ fit. If there is then i can get boosted for cheep.

You could probably swap the whole SC'd5.4 engine in your mustang, but I dont really see a way to make it for cheap unless you have another friend with a shop, at any rate I dont think it is a bolt on replacement, if only the SC you need to get and adapt the intercooler, intake manifold, get a custom tune, check for underhood clearence issues, probably get or custom make a larger pulley as the Lightiningcome stock with 12 or15 psi I am not sure, etc etc, of course itshould be possible but be ready to invest some time and money in that project

It's not going to work as the discharge plate, plenum, intercooler location and many other things are totally different for the 3V mustang than a Lightning..You would either need to fabricate or purchase those items separately to make the blower fit..
Hope that helps. Jared

You'd be better of swapping the whole motor.

don't waste your time, the cheap way out is to buy something made for your vehicle, tested & proven to work, you would spend more time and money trying to get everything together to make it work, there would be alot of customer fabrication involved if you could even do it, not to mention finding someone who could write you a tune for something never done before.

Not the tune that's the hard part since a motor swap would require all the electronics (including the ECU from the lighting) to go with it. It's getting all the wiring harnesses and custom fabrication needed to get the 5.4 older generation motor to fit in the bay of an 05+ mustang. Not to mention any drivetrain differences (Tranny, driveshaft, etc)...not worth it unless you plan on sticking the whole project out. Hidden costs and all.
