Default aluminum coast drive line driveshaft installed

i installed my aluminum driveshaft on sunday and it made a big difference in acceleration, gas mileage, smoother shifts, and i felt like i wasnt pulling a trailer behind my car. the car felt lighter on take off. i went for a 12 mile cruise before installing my driveshaft. i cleared my miles per gallon and set my cruise for 60 mph. the car averaged 28.9 mpg withoutany stopping or slowing down.(its an old straight country road in the middle of no where). after installing my driveshaft and then traveling the same 12 mile stretch and cruise set at 60mph the car averaged 31.4 mpg with no slowing down or stopping. i have a 5 speed, aluminum driveshaft,o/r xpipe, 93 brenspeed tune, 90mm cai, 3.55 gears and running whatever size tires come on the shelby gt NOT 500(dont feel like going outside to see). i purchased my driveshaft from ponyupgrade.com. installation tookunder an hour with no problems. the slowest part of the install was the 10 bolts that held the rear part of the stock driveshaft to the rearend. very simple install. thought you guys would like to know how well it changed my car.

It's only 6 bolts, but I can see how you could make that mistake. They do take some time to remove and install. If you are doing this on ramps or jack stands it's well worth the effort to disconnect one side of the exhaust from the Hpipe and muffler. It give you more room for your torque wrench.

I had my aluminum D/S installed last week along with UDPs and 4:10s. She runs like a rocket and still gets good mph.

Did you do any supporting mods? I would think you would at least need adjustable LCA's or UCA to adjust pinion angle.
