newbie question
I know exactly what he is talking about. I have just traded my '06 4.0 for the GT. The first time I parked it in the garage and opened the hood I noticed a considerable amount of heat difference from the engine bay after running than the 6. I just chaulked it up to the engine being bigger with more hot metal to give off heat.
thanks for the comments. i figured it was just something i was going to half to deal with. the 4.0L just didn't get all the hot. just ordered plenum cover last night. the one that says Powered by ford.

I usually get it over the center console, but its tricky shifting gears while I'm getting it.

But seriously, when I'm stuck in traffic I get alot of heat through the shifter and in the footwells because of the converters.
The catalysator is located near the dash in the enginebay.
I think that thats causing all the heat in the cabin.
My enginebay gets pretty hot too, especially the airbox put it cools off after an hour orso.

heat in the engine bay when you open the hood and around the car when it is running. sorry for not clarifying.
