Default newbie question

just took delivery of new 2007 torch gt and noticed that have i drove it the car puts off some serious heat. the temp gauge is reading below half way. didn't know if it was the nature of the beast or what. my 2006 v6 get put off the heat this one does. thanks for the help.

Heat in the engine bay or heat in the cabin? Not real sure what your talking about there. I dont feel excessive heat in the cabin so if thats the case take it ford and see what they say.

heat in the engine bay when you open the hood and around the car when it is running. sorry for not clarifying.

They run pretty hot and feeling a lot of heat around the engine bay and car is pretty normal. At least in my experience it is.

And when it's 96 degrees, like it is currently around here, opening the hood of a fully warmed up S197 is like putting your face into a blast furnace.And it ain't no good for power production either. Too bad I used all of my ice to cool the beer!

OK. i feel better now that so many of you are dealing with the same thing. it stays hot for a few hours after, too.and yes it is also beenin the mid-90s around here to for the past couple of weeks. i'll try and geta picture up soon of the new ride.

Yup. Makes my garage rediculously hot. The room above it suffers too.
