If you want cheap, look for something used. Alot of people, like me for example, buy an exhaust and after awhile they decide that it's not the sound they were looking for. That is the cheapest way to go. If you want to buy new, look into Pypes Violators which can be picked up for under $200, Flowmasers and Macs can be had for around $250. My personal opinion on SLP's is, they sound great on a stock mustang but are NOT worth what they cost new. It's rape what they are charging for basically a pair of SLP tips and a couple small pieces of piping.

I have MACs and they suck Donkey butt, the drone and backfire/poping sounds like garbage; the positive their cheep (whoopty doo, you get what you pay for) but I plan on replacing them sooner or later.

I have Pypes Violators and I like them just fine. ($199 from Brenspeed.) I found the quality to be good. My unsolicited advice: get something on the cheaper side until you hear in person someone's car that you like, inside and outside of the car, and ask them what they use.
