Default Vibration at 3500 RPM?

Anyone else have this problem? I've got an 05 GT with a manual, and at about 3500 RPM in any gear (or even not moving, not in a gear) I get this vibration. I'm not sure if it's normal, like just the harmonics of the car (resonance?)? Any thought/ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

On a side note, anyone else having problems with the site since the new server?

Well this is a toughie since you don't have any mods yet but usually the vibration you describe is a result of a slight change in the pinion angle. If it has done this since day 1 from the dealership, then my first recommendation is to get the car on a lift and check the UCA, DS, and pinion angle and everything else in the driveline just to make sure everything is where and how it is supposed to be.

If it is the pinion angle, is it hurting the car at all to drive it?

Nope - just annoying vibration. Well, it's not exactly 'good' for you over time but in the immediate future there is no big worry.

BTW - does it stop AFTER 3500 or get worse? If it continues with rpm - then I am almost positive it is in the driveline (DS, UCA, pinion angle or combination of the mentioned)

Oh I forgot, there was also this guy who had a similar situation at a specific RPM only. Can't remember what rpm it was but it was only that exact rpm. Anyway, after he took it to the dealership a half dozen times they finally figured out it was just the harmonics of that rpm that was rattling the exhaust hanger. He replaced the stock exhaust and never heard it again.

I forgot about that but that might be somthing interesting to you as well...

It's def at a specific RPM. Like, between 3450 and 3550. I had a 95 Cobra that did a similar thing at like 2800 RPM, and that was far from stock, but we determined that was a harmonics thing. I'm thinking that's what it is, but still wanted to ask to see if others have the same issue. For good measure, I'll still take a look at the pinion angle. Thanks again for all your help.

I have the same problem, but at 3200rpms, it comes and goes very quick. It's probably gone by 3300rpms. I don't believe this to be driveline related or it would change rpms with different gears. Of course it's impossible to be driveline related if you said it does it when not moving. I've gone as far as removing my drive belt to rule out any accesories and it still does it. My 1 piece driveshaft amplifies thevibration enough to make me put the stock 2 piece back in. It's super annoying and i'm going to take mine to the dealer soon, but i'm not sure they will do anything.

I wanted to point out that I had this vibration before adding the 4.10 gears and it didn't change at all after the gear install. If I sit at 3200rpms it feels rough and makes an errrr, errrr, errrr sound/vibration. With my 1 piece driveshaft it vibrates the rearview mirror, but with the stock shaft it's only annoying to me because i can feel it, my wife thinks i'm crazy.

Possibly the mid pipe, there is a TSB or the 05 on that!
