Default New Engine HELP Please

Hello every one, I am getting ready to have my new motor built, but I need a lot of information for all you guys that have done this, I am thinking of going with the Sean hyland motorsport , 2005-06 Mustang 4.6L 3V Forged Rotating Assembly, is this a god choice. Also I have a engine builder that has done my stuff in the past. He asked me what rod and main bolts do I want to go with. Do most of the kits come with the bolts or not. He said that APR studs are what he has used in the past, what do you guys think. I would like to be up around 550 hp with a supper charger.

Thanks for all your help….

I see guys praise SHM (sean hyland motorsports) all the time on this site and I always wonder what they are basing their opinions on cause I have examined SHM motors and don't think they are anywhere near 'the best'... far from it, actually

Probably a typo but they are ARP studs and yes, they are what you want to use.

I have seen a lot of different rod and piston set-ups and I personally believe the JE's to be the best piston choice out there. I like Manley connecting rods, and you have a slew of choices for a good crank. Personally, I like the Kellog.

Ask yourself who do the PROS call when they need help with an engine. I'll tell you - Al Papito at Boss 330.

Boss 330 is way ahead of the game when it comes to these modular 3v's. He is the only guy in the country who has a successful VCT delete and the guy many pro shops call when they need help.

VT engines is anouther great source for built shortblocks and rotating assemblies. Fox Lake is another place the pros go to for their motors.

ST Motosports in So Cal makes some kick **** motors if you're looking for a complete shortblock. Sounds like you've got a builder already so I would look up VT engines or Fox Lake for a rotating assembly kit.

You also need to decide on what block you want to go with. You need to decide on a lot of things like what exact FI are you going with also before you decide what parts are the best for you IMO.

Just google it and call many of them and do your homework. I say that not to be condesending, but because it is a great learning curve to talk to several suppliers and hear from the horses mouth what they have to say.

You can weed out the BS that way and make an informed decision yourself.

Anything else is not wise IMO.

What is 'God's choice'? cause I'd certainly like to buy some products from there...

Unless you are referring to Jim Dick'Amore at JDM - he thinks he is god so that makes sense. Just wish for once he could tell the truth about anything to anyone.
